“To sleep, perchance to dream — ay, there’s the rub.” Hamlet had the right idea. In seeking sleep, we seek to “end the heartache and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to.” Or, more simply stated, we want a good eight hours of shut-eye and an escape from that day’s worries or troubles or bothers.
